Kitchen Worktops Made Simple: Who We Work With at First Stone Worktops

Choosing Kitchen Worktops in Hampshire

Choosing the right kitchen worktop is one of the most important finishing touches in any kitchen.

At First Stone Worktops, we work with a wide range of customers including kitchen designers, kitchen studios, builders and homeowners looking for high-quality quartz worktops, granite worktops and stone surfaces.

What makes us different is our approach. We aim to make the process simple, straightforward and enjoyable, with honest advice and expert craftsmanship at every stage.

Supporting Kitchen Designers, Studios and Builders

Over the years, we’ve built strong relationships with kitchen designers and studios who trust us to bring their ideas to life with beautifully manufactured stone worktops.

Because our factory is located on site, every worktop is templated, manufactured and finished by our own team. We do not outsource production, which means we maintain full quality control and deliver the standards our trade partners expect.

Builders also value working with us because we understand how important reliable timelines, clear communication and accurate templating are when managing a kitchen project.

As we manufacture everything ourselves, we often have offcuts available in quartz and granite. These can be ideal for smaller projects such as utility rooms, bathroom vanity tops, hearths or smaller worktop areas, helping customers achieve a high-quality finish while keeping costs under control.

Helping Homeowners Choose the Right Worktop

Alongside our trade customers, we regularly work with homeowners who want to upgrade their kitchens with quartz or granite worktops.

Our showroom is designed to help customers see, touch and compare materials so they can feel confident in their decision.

Visitors can:

  • View a wide range of quartz and granite colours

  • See full slabs to understand pattern and scale

  • Explore examples of islands, drainer grooves and edge profiles

  • Take samples home to compare with cabinetry and lighting

Seeing the materials in person often makes choosing a worktop much easier than relying on images alone.

Over 25 Years of Experience

There is over 25 years of experience behind the work we do.

Our director, Paul Froud, learned the trade from the ground up and has hands-on knowledge of every stage involved in producing high-quality stone worktops.

From design and templating through to fabrication and installation, this experience allows us to guide customers with confidence. Paul particularly enjoys working on projects where customers want something a little different, whether that’s a statement island, custom drainer grooves or a unique layout.

Our Process

We aim to keep the process clear and straightforward from start to finish.

  2. Templating
Once the kitchen is ready, we carry out precise templating to ensure a perfect fit. We recommend the main decision maker is present, as details such as overhangs, drainer grooves and edge profiles are confirmed at this stage.

  3. Manufacturing
Your worktop is produced in our on-site workshop using professional machinery and the experience of our skilled team.

  4. Installation
Installation typically takes place within 1–2 weeks after templating, depending on the project.
