The Binsted Inn, Binsted

Bespoke Carrara marble bar with classic moulded edge detail

Our Work

We designed and fabricated the entire bar using Carrara marble, focusing on thickness, profile and finish.

  • Full bar top formed at an overall thickness of 60mm

  • Built using two 30mm layers fixed together

  • Bullnose edge on the top surface

  • Inverted ogee edge beneath to add depth and detail

  • Careful joining and finishing to keep the profile crisp along the full length of the bar

The combination of edge details gives the bar a strong visual weight while keeping the marble elegant rather than overbearing.

Project Overview

This project involved the fabrication and installation of a full bar top for The Binsted Inn, a pub in the village of Binsted. The brief was to create a statement bar that felt substantial, traditional and well suited to the character of the space.

Result

The finished bar sits comfortably within the pub interior and acts as a real focal point. The pale Carrara marble lifts the space, while the traditional edge profile adds character and a sense of craftsmanship that suits a classic bar setting.
